Today I am celebrating reaching 175 members at Musicians Playground, 9 years of training & developing teaching artists, 3 years of coaching and consulting studio owners around the world, 20 years of teaching thousands of people to play piano, and thriving through one of the most personally difficult seasons of my life yet. Pinch me. If you would have asked younger me if I would have thought any of this would be possible, I would have laughed. Life is a battle of being who we are versus who we are supposed to be. Of doing what we want to do versus are supposed to do. Of never giving up on our passions. Music was the armour I needed to know the difference, stay true to myself, and achieve my wildest dreams. The best part? I get to help others do the same thing everyday I wake up and “go to work.” Whether it is helping others transform through the power of music, become the best teacher they can possibly be, or have the studio of their dreams - it all boils down to showing up and reminding others of their greatness; of who they really are. Helping others to win the battle of life. I am proud of the path I have chosen this life and of the person I have become in the process.
