Coaching Kids - Creating the Challenge to facilitate Learning ✅ Games Based Learning ✅ A Constraints Led Aproach Here’s a raw uncut video of one of our school sessions. 1. The first thing we did (not filmed) was take the kids out on to the course where they were given a short game challenge from different locations. 2. We talked about what challenges they faced and what the thought they could improve 3. We returned back to the putting green and played a chipping game with the following constraints in place ✅ the had to chip the ball over a noodle (strike & trajectory) ✅ hitting the ball beyond the red cones lost all of their points (distance control) ✅ they scored points for hitting various cones (path and club face control) The results are that the kids learn for themselves. They are responsible for what they learn. They’ll retain the information. They’ll develop confidence in their own problem solving abilities. They’ll feel accomplished THEY’LL HAVE THE MOST AMOUNT OF FUN!! #juniorgolf #golfcoaching #coacheducation

🧐 ‘EXPECTATIONS’ IS OUR Word of the Week at the Football Fun Factory® For Parents, Family members, Teachers and Coaches, it can be difficult to judge, manage and develop our expectations of children. We are often great at second guessing ourselves… - What is too much to ask? - Are we expecting enough? - Do we offer enough insensitive to meet expectations? - Have we earned the right to expect something in return from our children in the first place?! … but not always as good at realising that setting expectations can be a positive thing! Few feelings are better when working with children than the moment a child reaches and even exceeds expectations! It shows us that we were right to set these expectations and that they are not only fair, but having a positive impact on development! Families can expect myself and my team to provide our three priorities of Saftey, Fun & Development at every session, party, camp or event and we expect the children to come full of enthusiasm and have an incredible time as a result!
