MVMC member manufacturers, along with employers in healthcare, technology and other industries, gathered for the Mahoning Valley Works Hiring Event at the Eastwood Event Centre today. Hundreds of jobseekers attended - from high school graduates to those looking to change careers. The room was packed with opportunity for employers actively seeking to fill positions. MVMC Executive Director Alex Hertzer also engaged with individuals about rewarding careers in manufacturing and discussed workforce development initiatives with companies and organizations. MVMV Executive Director Alex Hertzer was the moderator for a panel discussion “Economic Outlook and Using the New Administration to Your Advantage” at The Grand Resort in Warren. The panelists addressed topics like tax concerns and risks associated with tariffs, how local employers may be affected by changes and how to manage them. There was also a good conversation surrounding the impact on workforce.
