Our very own Linda Whyte, Loveland/Thornton Area Center Director, lit up the Denver airwaves as a guest on KWGN Channel 2’s “Great Day Colorado”: https://birdeye.cx/b2djq6 In discussing the many ways the InnovAge/PACE program benefits seniors and their families in the community, Linda shared a few heartwarming examples: “We get notes of gratitude all the time from families and caregivers who say their loved ones have ‘come alive’ (in the PACE program). Families are telling us (their older loved ones) are happier now, they are engaged with the grandkids, so we are seeing some great things come of it.” The segment also highlighted the 35th Annual “Salute to Seniors” event, tomorrow at the Greek Events Center in Denver. InnovAge/PACE will be there for a fun and engaging day of activities. If you’re attending, be sure to stop by to see us! In the Denver area, and at InnovAge/PACE Centers across the nation, we’re proud to be part of supportive, caring communities. Interested in learning more? Visit innovage.com

“When we opened in 2020, we had 20 staff members and just a few participants, and it was during the middle of a pandemic,” said InnovAge California PACE Sacramento Center Director Jenny Rojas Singh at the center’s 4th anniversary celebration. “Four years later, we now have a significantly larger staff and are serving hundreds of participants!” Nursing Services Director Merben David shared more about his personal journey and deep connection to the value of PACE, not only for seniors, but for the families who care for them. “My father has dementia and my son has down syndrome and autism. I understand the challenges of caring for an older loved one, working a full-time job, and then also taking care of the rest of your family.” Staff and enrolled seniors bumped elbows with healthcare, business, and community partners, as well as folks from the community, interested in learning more about PACE. Our gratitude to our partners at Eskaton and to Senator Roger Niello and Angelique Ashby's offices. We were also proud to recognize our community partners LifeSTEPS, the Latino Leadership Council, Silver Wishes, and La Familia Counseling Center. Happy Anniversary InnovAge PACE Sacramento Center! #WinningTeam #FocusedOnSeniors #InnovAgePACE www.InnovAge.com

Deep insight into healthcare's "Best Kept Secret." InnovAge PACE President & CEO Patrick Blair talks openly about the growth of the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly in a HHCN (Home Health Care News) interview, how the company has overcome regulatory setbacks, and what it takes to navigate a highly complex, resource-intensive operation. He shares more about the increasing momentum and support at state and federal levels - to make PACE easier to access for many more seniors across the country. Read full HCCN article here: https://birdeye.cx/8yjnhk ~ Here are excerpts: "We want to demonstrate and strengthen PACE’s value proposition relative to other types of value-based care models. We’ve created a platform that not only allows us to deliver high-quality care in all of our geographies, but we’ve also built capabilities to help us better manage capitated risk and improve economic performance." "Government programs are massive, and they’re growing, and the U.S. is spending more than a trillion dollars on Medicare and Medicaid," Blair continues." We know that the cost of care is unsustainable, and we know that patients are often dissatisfied with the care they receive, and we just believe there’s a tremendous market opportunity there for PACE, and other organizations, like ours, to deliver a comprehensive win-win value proposition. That’s a big goal of this next year, is to continue to position PACE as a solution." "I tell people, PACE is the best kept secret in health care, and we’ve got to do a much better job of creating awareness of the value that it delivers. We have to ensure the program flourishes, over the long term. That’s a hard business objective of the company."

100 years young! We were excited to recently celebrate milestone birthdays with two of our participants at InnovAge centers in the Philadelphia, PA area. It was an inspiring way to usher in National Wellness Month. What’s the secret to reaching 100 for these birthday queens? Ruth at St. Bart’s Center says: "Good relationships, an active life, and lots of friends. I love being around people. I love coming to the center because I'm with a lot of friends. My health has gotten better since I've been coming to InnovAge. I really enjoy it." Ms. Jubilee at Allegheny Center says: “The secret is to just treat people truthfully.” (By the way, her youthful friend in the photo is 81!) #100YearsYoung #NationalWellnessMonth #AgingWell #SeniorHealth

“Fight for the life you want to love,” says InnovAge PACE participant Connie. “For me, I love to dance! It makes me forget about my problems. It’s my happiness pill.” This feisty, festive senior has sage advice for others. “Just start moving. Even if it’s in a wheelchair. It’s like magic. It’s good for your soul and your mind. I am stronger now. I love my life. I’m in my 60s and I’m living my best life.” You go girl. #LoveYourSelf #NationalWellnessMonth #AgingWell #SeniorHealth

"The demand for what we do is growing rapidly." President & CEO Patrick Blair shares his thoughts on "The State of PACE."

    President & CEO, InnovAge

The State of PACE In my many years as a healthcare industry professional and leader, one thing has remained consistent: the job always comes down to people. PACE is about teams of dedicated and caring professionals providing our most vulnerable seniors and their families an atypically broad array of care and services to help them continue to live independently. Today, the demand for what we do is growing rapidly.   The National PACE Association reports more than 75,000 Americans are enrolled in PACE. State governments increasingly recognize the need for better alternatives to nursing home care. By 2030, one in five Americans will reach retirement age. That’s over 70 million people and all U.S. Baby Boomers. We will all eventually need to be there to support our aging parents and find compelling solutions for ourselves. For the frailest of our families — we believe PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a key part of the solution.   PACE is genuinely more than just a health care plan. Offering much more individualized coverage than traditional options for seniors, PACE provides care, services, and social opportunities for our participants at our state-of-the-art PACE facilities and in their homes. Through our extensive fleet of vehicles, we’re also able to safely and routinely transport participants to our facilities and their doctors. Our staff get to know our participants deeply, making it easier to understand their needs and tailor programs that help them live independently — and safely — in their own homes and communities for as long as possible. The relief is usually universal from caregivers and families who enjoy the simplicity and peace of mind from a single plan that helps with activities of daily living – services historically provided by assisted-living facilities, nursing homes, and home care agencies. For us, this expert care comes from our own, dedicated team of senior health care professionals.   Just walking into one of our centers and seeing our associates engaging compassionately with our participants gives me all the inspiration I need. InnovAge recently held a public event where dozens of our artistic participants showcased their talents. Witnessing their excitement, pride, and joy reminds me of just one of the things that makes PACE special: Our mission is not only to help heal people when they’re ill, but also to support, strengthen, and empower them so they can lead happier, healthier, more independent lives. “Art brings me satisfaction and peace. It is a part of my identity,” said Janet, a participant. “I love being a part of this program because I have the support to be who I am and do what I love. I think of InnovAge as part of my family.”   These stories fuel our passion every day, and it’s encouraging to see more state and national leaders working to make this highly comprehensive, affordable, and truly exceptional program available to more people around the country. #PACEModel #SeniorCare

Talent. Pride. Empowerment. Happiness. InnovAge PACE + Talented Seniors = a truly meaningful event! 30+ of our senior participants from all Colorado centers sold their handmade arts and crafts. The money helped one artist finally fix her kitchen sink! We were thrilled to have more than 100 guests join a fun, inspirational day. InnovAge had no financial gain from the event. Seniors earned 100% of the proceeds. Our participant artists say creating art brings them joy, pride, satisfaction, and happiness. We at InnovAge PACE are humbled every day to have the opportunity to serve and support so many wonderful people around the country. #Talent #SeniorsRule #ArtIsImportant #InnovAge #PACE www.InnovAge.com
