We have quite a few milestones to celebrate this year, and we recently celebrated another milestone at our North Hollywood center: one year of serving vulnerable seniors in our community with a Community Open House. The event was a true reflection of our mission at WelbeHealth, with staff, participants, and volunteers coming together to create a day filled with joy and connection. From creative activities led by our Engagement Coordinator to heartfelt testimonials from our participants and care team members, the event showcased the deep care and support that defines WelbeHealth’s PACE program. The designation recognizes WelbeHealth's progression from Age-Friendly Health System Participant and is bestowed on organizations that have demonstrated implementation of outcome-focused practices for older adults through the 4Ms: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. "This designation is a testament to our team's continuing commitment to quality and excellence in caring for our participants. WelbeHealth is thrilled about the progress the larger Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act is making. This act will enable more veterans to access care in their homes and communities, including local Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). It will also support veterans in finding organizations like WelbeHealth. WelbeHealth External Affairs Director Lisa Ard, MPA, expressed, "WelbeHealth applauds this bipartisan legislative effort that will expand access for US veterans to the PACE program. As an organization, we deeply value the sacrifices that veterans have made on behalf of our country and believe it’s vital that we uphold the sacred contract we have with them.
