NACE’s mission is to offer continuing education opportunities that provide the most current, science-based information to health care practitioners. Through this education, we expect learners to achieve one or more of the stated learning objectives with the aim of improving their knowledge, competence, confidence and, when applicable, professional performance, ultimately improving the health and safety of the patients they care for. The content of each NACE CME activity is geared to address the professional practice gaps and underlying educational needs of primary and specialty audiences, providing target audience members with the knowledge and skills generally recognized and accepted within the scope of their practice. The target audience for the NACE CME Program includes primary and specialty physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health care professionals from across the United States. NACE provides live and enduring CME activities that include face-to-face conferences, virtual conferences, online enduring CME, and journal-based CME. Instructional designs for the activities include didactic and interactive, case-based presentations, question and answer sessions, faculty-led round table discussions, virtual patient cases, journal articles, and interactive monographs. NACE utilizes systematic approaches to needs assessment to identify practice gaps, identify learning objectives, and develop appropriate educational programs with formats consistent with adult learning principles. NACE provides diverse opportunities for participants to learn evidenced-based information and acquire skills to improve competence and professional performance. NACE emphasizes outcome measurement to assess the impact our educational activities have on provider competence, confidence, and performance in practice. NACE complies with all accepted guidelines and policies of accrediting bodies within the continuing education enterprise.
