The BHLI's mission is to orient, mentor, coach and sponsor undergraduate Scholars for leadership roles in healthcare who will serve to eliminate healthcare disparities in vulnerable populations.
Today we highlight 2019 BHLI scholar Kameron Willis. Kameron is a Morehouse College graduate who is currently a medical student at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He aspires to become a neurosurgeon and is passionate about promoting care that is patient centered and employs the latest technologies to assure the best outcomes. Kameron was awarded a research fellowship in the Mayo Clinic Neuro-Informatics Lab of Mohamad Bydon, MD in Rochester, MN. Dr. Bydon is one of the nation’s leading neurosurgery researchers, and his team performs research on surgical outcomes, spinal biomechanics and novel spinal devices, and spinal cord injury and disk degeneration. We are excited that Kameron is having a great learning experience and can’t wait to see him continue to accomplish his dreams!
