About us
Making A Difference The National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA) is a national trade association dedicated to the enrichment and betterment of minorities and women who work in the mortgage industry. Founded by industry veteran Tony Thompson CMB, NAMMBA’s mission is to increase the engagement of minorities and women in the Mortgage Banking Industry at the local, state and national level. As an association, we will seek to partner and leverage the Mortgage Bankers Association to provide education, career development and resources which align and support the strategic direction of the mortgage industry. NAMMBA’s members work in all segments of the mortgage and housing industry and serve in sales, operations and servicing capacities within their respective organization. NAMMBA members are from diverse backgrounds as membership is not limited to minorities and women. A board of directors and corporate advisory board govern NAMMBA and include highly successful practitioners, entrepreneurs, government agencies and industry leaders.

And just like that, my first two years serving as Governance Director for NAMMBA Knoxville Chapter have passed! 🥹 I couldn’t have imagined a better way to celebrate the incredible work this chapter has put into the Knoxville community over its first two years than to celebrate the champions on the ground doing the work each day. So immensely proud of each of the award recipients, including Mortgage Investors Group’s very own Jackie Jordan Pullen, Lorie Ward Jaynes and Darren Osborne! It has been such a pleasure serving on a board with such a talented group of professionals these last two years! Everyone brought a different skillset and list of experience to the table, but every single person showed up with the same level of dedication to the cause and a positive attitude every single day. It didn’t matter what these folks had going on at work or in their personal lives, they still showed up and gave it their all. These Founding Board Members will always hold a special place in my heart! Moneek Langston Karen George, Broker, SRS, RENE, ABR, GRI, PMN, e-Pro Adrian Hall Rebekah Bicknell, AMP Jenye R. Vela Young Samar (Summer) Reed I also wanted to add a special shoutout to Brandon Ray Huckaby here who joined our board for this event and knocked it out of the park! He truly hit the ground running and was a total superhero helping coordinate the bars, proofing our marketing pieces, and worked incredibly hard during setup and cleanup during the day of the event! He is going to make an incredible addition to the board and I’m so grateful that Adrian introduced him! NAMMBA Knoxville is going to continue to do amazing things in this community, and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to be a part of its origin story! We won’t stop educating and advocating until housing and the American dream of homeownership is accessible for EVERYONE!
