🌟NAPALSA SPOTLIGHT🌟 Ash Y. - Loyola University Chicago School of Law Ash is the 2024-25 elected President of the Student Bar Association (SBA) at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. As President, Ash is dedicated to advocating for students and ensuring that their voices are heard. A key aspect of Ash's leadership is addressing concerns that may not be on the administration's radar. Some of the Loyola SBA's recent successes under Ash's leadership include collaborating with the administration to provide a summer U-Pass for students enrolled in summer classes and implementing initiatives such as Wellness Week and Coffee at the Law Library before finals to support mental health and wellness. This year, Ash and the Loyola SBA executive board have continued to strengthen the student community by hosting dean’s roundtables to encourage open dialogue and partnering with Student Services to revamp the student lounge, creating a more comfortable and relaxing space for everyone. -- We are seeking nominations for both APALSA chapters and individuals to spotlight in our newsletter and on our pages. Great work, Sean (Seong Won) Lee and Emily Chuang!
I recently had the opportunity to co-moderate the NAPALSA X ABA Antitrust Division panel on "Why Antitrust?" alongside Sean (Seong Won) Lee. I joined the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (NAPALSA) because I wanted to help other students find passion in their future legal careers. What better way than introducing students to interesting practice areas? Thank you to our panelists Craig Lee, Christopher Abbott, Michelle Park, and Adrian Lee for sharing why each of you chose antitrust with the 50+ participants who joined us in-person and online. I'm sure you all just sparked the next wave of future antitrust attorneys! Also special thanks to the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section for teaming up with us for the event, Alan H. for his help coordinating with our venue, and Paul Hastings' DC office for hosting the event!
