When we first set out to make commercial aviation more sustainable, we started with a focus on air cargo. Our team worked diligently on creating a first product that emits significantly less carbon, holds more cargo, and uses considerably less fuel. We achieved this and more with the KONA, a blended wing body (BWB) aircraft designed as a regional cargo carrier. KONA provides 2.5x more cargo capacity, utilizes 30% less fuel, and is 50% less expensive to operate than the traditional tube and wing aircraft used in commercial cargo operations today.
