Invite me to your school to train your teachers and your students to make the world their classroom.
We cannot afford to be distracted by the short-term actions designed to create uncertainty and despair. We must prepare for the long-term geopolitical, environmental, and economic depression that will befall us all because we allowed a very small group of people to pit us against each other so they could capture more control of our resources. If you are going to be at Oakwood University's Alumni Weekend, join us as we create a collective voice and collective action. Register here for free. https://lnkd.in/eMRT8YEd

The United States Declaration of Independence recognizes the humanity and the right of all men and women to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The preamble of the United States Constitution states that our purpose is the continual work to create a more perfect union that establishes justice, peace, common defense, general welfare, and most of all freedom. Join us at Oakwood University's Alumni Weekend as we create a collective voice and collective action to fulfill these aspirations. Register for free here. https://lnkd.in/e_ir6jT3

Today, we are celebrating our second group of AI Navigators from Arabia Mountain High School. We thank Erika M. Smith of Microsoft and and NPursuit Career Partners for providing them with the tools to learn how to use Microsoft's Copilot, Power Automate, and Power Bi platforms to help create sustainable development in Colombia. We also thank USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance and the USDA Forest Service for sponsoring this program in Colombia.

We are proud to introduce some of the Arabia Mountain High School students who have accepted the challenge to learn Microsoft's Copilot, Power Automate, and Power BI platforms to help facilitate sustainable development through artificial intelligence, data visualization, and workflow technologies. We thank USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance's Noelle Ojo, JD, MBA and Adam Slater, MBA, the USDA Forest Service, and Microsoft's Erika M. Smith for making this happen.

I was motivated to write the first chapter of this book because I realized there were certain limiting beliefs built into our social system that kept me and other teachers I engaged from educating young people in a way that demonstrated hope for humanity and confidence in our students' potential to build a better world.
