The National Academy for State Health Policy is a nonpartisan forum of policymakers throughout state governments, learning, leading and implementing innovative solutions to health policy challenges. As we kick off Day 3 of #NASHPCONF2024, we reflect on the impactful sessions covering critical health care topics. Get ready for a final day of deep insights and meaningful discussions. We're happy to see all your comments and reviews about this year's conference. In case you missed it, here are some highlights from Day 2. • NASHP Executive Director Hemi Tewarson and HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson during the 'Journey of Leadership' session. • Micky Tripathi and Jessica Altman spoke about the future of AI in health care. • Rene Mollow, Michele Eberle, Meghan Hodge Groen and Nate Checketts addressed lessons learned from Medicaid's COVID-19 public health emergency continuous eligibility policy. • Charissa Fotinos, Cindy Beane, Jason McGill and Rob Nosse (not pictured) discussed the changing landscape of substance use. • Academy Award Winner, Peter Lee and Rising Star, Elizabeth da Costa were our awardees this year 🎉 There are also a few photos of a couple of our delighted attendees, blueberry creations and the live band from our Blueberry Reception sponsored by Centene Corporation. TN Senator Bo Watson, a Heartland Health Caucus member, now at the NASHP | National Academy for State Health Policy plenary “AI in Healthcare: Charting the Path Forward for States.” In TN he led the task force that created an AI council, now in charge of advising his state’s legislature on balancing the economic advantages of AI by being responsible.
