About us

National Braille Press (NBP) is a Boston-based non-profit printer and publisher of braille materials and tactile graphics that supports literacy for blind children and adults. NBP provides accessible materials for blind and low vision students, consumers, and adults in the workplace. Our services are provided to businesses, state and local governments, and educational organizations so that blind people have access to information in all areas of their life. Our services cover a broad spectrum of braille transcription and ink printing that range from print/braille children’s books to high stakes assessments, textbooks, product manuals, financial statements, literary novels, magazine inserts, and business cards. Through our Center for Braille Innovation, National Braille Press is researching and developing affordable digital braille computers and tablets for the blind, which will allow dynamic, real-time output of a digital e-braille and tactile graphics for textbooks and standardized tests.

    Beep Baseball is coming to Burlington, MA with a ✨Free✨ Double Header! Adaptive Sports New England's Boston Strong will take on New York’s Long Island Bombers! Join the fun: Saturday, September 21, 2024 Opening Ceremony 9:55 am. Game 1: 10 am. Game 2: 12:30 PM. 5 Patriot Road, Burlington, MA 01803. The Boston Strong is New England’s newest Beep baseball team and you can come watch Head Coach Joe Q, NBP’s VP of Development, and his team made up of NBP Staff, Braille all-stars and future Braille All-stars step up to the plate against New York’s toughest team! The L.I. New York Bombers Beep Baseball are a dedicated group of baseball players from the Long Island and Tri-state area. The Boston Strong last met up with the Bombers in Central Park in New York and now they're ready for this double header in Burlington! This is a free event! Come and enjoy an adapted version of baseball with blind ball players hitting and fielding beeping balls and running full speed towards buzzing bases! All of the players will be wearing blindfolds to even the playing field. Bring your chairs or comfy blankets, and be prepared to be inspired! This event is sponsored by Adaptive Sports New England.
