Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day! Indigenous Peoples' Day is a day that celebrates and honors Indigenous American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. In our sector of work, it's also important to take stock of the health disparities faced by Indigenous people in the United States. In 2021, Native Americans aged 25-34 had the highest percentage of new HIV diagnoses among all age groups, at 40%, up from 36% in 2020. This population also represents only 1% of the national HIV and AIDS cases, yet rank third in new HIV diagnoses. What is contributing to these disparities?
