Last week, some of the #NFP team traveled to Las Vegas for the Planet Fitness bi-annual Franchise Conference! Our team members participated in informational breakout sessions, networked with fellow franchisees and contributed to the outstanding work towards our #JudgementFree initiative. #transforminglives #PlanetFitness

Peter Juisto is just one example of our inspiring #PlanetFitness members!   Peter recently celebrated his 90th birthday by skydiving 14,000 feet and he contributes his physical wellness to Planet Fitness! Peter, a Vietnam veteran and a Planet Fitness member of over 10 years, surpassed his 80th birthday skydive (8,000 feet) while raising money for veterans experiencing homelessness.   “After some recent health challenges, Planet Fitness was there to save my life and get me back on track with my fitness,” said Peter Juisto. “They’re a big part of why I’m able to celebrate this milestone in such a big way.” #NFP #transforminglives Contributions to Peter's fundraising efforts can be made here: https://lnkd.in/eDVZGU4C.

What's better than one team volunteering? How about eight teams volunteering! This month, we had team members from eight #PlanetFitness clubs volunteer with Family Promise, Inc., in Montgomery County! They spent the day cleaning and repainting an apartment and overnight room to help prepare for new families. "This charity is important to me and my team because they help hundreds of people in need within our very own community; many people that they help are members with at PF locations through Montgomery County," said Jennifer Taylor, area director at NFP. "The work we do with them adds value to my team, they get excited to make a difference and help their community. We also enjoy spending the day together in a different environment, building our team in a productive manner. Anyone can fall into homelessness, whether it be a layoff, house fire, etc. Knowing that we are helping people feels incredible as any one of us could be in that situation someday." #NFP #transforminglives

This month, a few of our Philadelphia #PlanetFitness clubs volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities to help sanitize and maintain housing areas for families during treatment. "To give back to an organization like the Ronald McDonald House is truly rewarding and humbling," said Dan Zimmerman, area director at National Fitness Partners. "The strength and mindset of the kids and families are truly admirable, and what the House represents is something special in itself. Last month, our #PlanetFitness teams in our South Region came together for their Regional Summit. They held leadership sessions in addition to team building activities! "Bringing our team together fosters a sense of unity and collaboration, which is essential for achieving our collective goals. When we combine our strengths and have fun along the way, we not only drive innovation and efficiency but also create a more enjoyable and rewarding work environment,” said Andrew Watkins, Market Vice President of our South Region. Yesterday, the Upper Allen Fire Department honored the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Our Gettysburg Pike #PlanetFitness team reserved machines for the firefighters to climb 110 flights of stairs in their full uniforms to reach the 2,200 stairs that firefighters experienced 23 years ago. #HonorandRemember #NFP #transforminglives Read more about their climb below.
