To celebrate the conclusion of our Gretna, LA club’s recent remodel, we hosted the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and community members at our re-opening event this past Monday! The day included a ribbon cutting, games with prizes, delicious treats, and free Black Card® amenity trials for all. We’re ecstatic to officially re-welcome our valued community members into our refreshed Judgement Free® Zone.

Here we grow again! 🎉 We are excited to expand our presence in Louisiana by opening our 14th club in the New Orleans market; plans and construction are underway to open in Marrero, LA later this year. The 20K sq ft. club will offer the latest strength, cardio, and functional training equipment along with six Black Card® Spa amenities, including the Wellness Pod for relaxation and mindfulness, and Recovery CryoLounge for safe, efficient cold therapy. 

Happy Birthday to our Barboursville, WV club! 🎉 Earlier this month, members from the Huntingdon Regional Chamber of Commerce joined teammates to celebrate the club’s 10-year business anniversary. The event included games, cake, confetti, and singing led by WV’s own, Lee Dean. Thanks to our Barboursville team and Chamber Members for attending and bringing the party in honor of the club’s first completed decade!

UFP is a proud partner of Healthier 901, a movement by Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare that inspires Memphians to live a healthier lifestyle. Healthier 901 is holding a challenge for the city to lose one million pounds over a three-year period. Our Memphis, TN teammates were thrilled to support their recent second-annual event at Shelby Farms Park where we hosted a table, gave away swag and a one-year Black Card® Membership; what an honor to connect the community to the Judgement Free Zone® as we strive towards a healthier future together!

Did you know the banana split was created in Latrobe, PA in 1904, making it 120 years young? The PA city celebrates this summer treat every year during the Great American Banana Split Celebration, that includes a 5k, booths and of course, banana splits. Our very own Latrobe and nearby North Huntingdon teammates joined in the festivities by leading the pre-run stretch/warm up and engaged with the community. Thanks Carly Tatarek, Devin Onorato, Katrina Hanson, John Schessler and Emily Huha for representing the JFZ®! 🍌

We are honored to have partnered with The Victory Project to host the first-ever Victory Run x Planet Fitness 5K. Proceeds from donations and our over 300 registrants support The Victory Project's mission of enriching the lives of kids battling cancer, which includes providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for kids fighting cancer to experience a VIP weekend with Sporting KC as Match Day Honorees. Partnering with our local community is vital in driving our mission to change lives. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event! Let’s keep running together towards a brighter future. 🥈

UFP teammates Chris Thompson, Salina, KS, CM, and Anna Rivera, Kansas City, MO (Antioch), CM, just returned from an incredible volunteer trip to the Dominican Republic with Soles4Souls due to the success of our shoe drive last year. Our team served nearly 800 children and families by sizing their feet, distributing new shoes, and connecting with thousands of people, learning about their rich culture and lifestyle while making joyful memories playing with the children during the trip.   Thank you to Soles4Souls for inviting our teammates and for your efforts in making a difference in the world around us.

Last week, our Support Center teammates huddled in Austin for a Leadership Development Conference. The team participated in exercises to define culture among their teams and our organization as a whole. Teammates left feeling inspired and full of positive energy for what’s to come!
