The Nebraska National Guard recently honored 102-year-old World War II P-38 pilot Capt. Jim Kunkle with a special paint scheme on one of their KC-135R Stratotankers. “This project is really special for us,” said Col. Andrew Malousek. “It connects our past with the present and honors a remarkable legacy.
