The National Health Council is proud to partner with the Act on RAISE campaign, powered by the National Alliance for Caregiving. The campaign brings together stakeholders across the caregiving continuum to drive implementation of the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers. The Administration for Community Living’s recent Report to Congress highlighted the progress we've made together over the past two years. Together, we've taken significant steps, including securing $22 million in new funding and helping to ensure that all federal actions in the initial strategy are completed or in progress to date. I look forward to Pfizer’s Patients In Focus Week every year, a weeklong event series where we get to hear directly from the people who drive our work: patients. For me, this event is a reminder to pause, reflect and reinforce that our purpose is—and always will be—to help people everywhere live in better health. To kick things off, my colleague Lidia Fonseca and I sat down with Randall Rutta, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Council. We discussed the importance of patient advocacy groups and shared our takes on this year’s theme: "175 Years of Building Bridges with Patients." Most importantly, we heard from more than 250 patient advocates from around the world. We listened to their stories and experiences, and answered questions from them and their patients. Check out the video below to see a couple of highlights that include a question about health equity and how digital and AI are revolutionizing clinical trials. My deep thanks to Randall Rutta and our Pfizer colleagues who organized this important event. Most importantly, thank you to our patients, advocates and caregivers for allowing us to be a part of their healthcare journeys—they are the ones who continue to inspire us.
