Day 2 of the National Pasta Association Annual Meeting and World Pasta Congress was packed with insights and connections! The day kicked off with an engaging session on the global durum market, followed by a U.S. Legislative and Regulatory Update from Veronica Colas at Hogan Lovells who shared essential updates shaping our industry. We then explored equipment innovations impacting pasta production, and attendees enjoyed 1:1 networking opportunities to deepen industry relationships. In the afternoon, attendees embarked on curated tours around Philadelphia, taking in the local culture, sights, art, and food scene. This afternoon, part of the #2024NPA attendees embarked on an Italian foodie tour of Philadelphia, guided by NPA's renowned Chef Rosario Del Nero. We explored Di Bruno Brothers and indulged in a delicious cheese and wine tasting, savoring cheeses from all over Italy. Next, we visited Gran Caffè L'Aquila, an Italian café/bar that felt like an authentic slice of Italy, where we enjoyed some of the best gelato you could ask for. This tour truly highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Philly’s Italian food scene and was a great opportunity for our attendees to network!
