NSC applauds the recent signing of California Assembly Bill 1976 into law. This will require workplaces to include naloxone hydrochloride or another FDA-approved opioid antagonist in their first aid materials, along with instructions for use. This marks a significant step forward in enhancing public safety and addressing our nation’s opioid crisis. #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyForAll #Naloxone Learn more about the NSC #RespondReady Workplace program and the bill here: https://lnkd.in/ghUY28xi.

NSC is disappointed in the California Governor's veto of S.B. 961, a crucial bill aimed at enhancing vehicle safety in California. This legislation aimed to require new vehicles be equipped with intelligent speed assistance systems - technology designed to alert drivers when they exceed safe speed limits. Such systems are proven to significantly reduce speeding incidents, thereby lessening the severity of crashes. #RoadwaySafety #KeepEachOtherSafe Learn more from the NSC statement here: https://lnkd.in/dH-xfc_G.
