About us
The Native American Advancement Corporation hereafter referred to as the "NAAC," is a focus organization on behalf of the advancement and development of all North American Natives. Its constituent organizers chartered NAAC as an expression of a need to promote the Native Americans' interests by ensuring support, addressing issues of concern, and promoting self-sufficiency. NAAC forms subordinate entities to continue to foster development to meet the purposes of the NAAC; as authorized by the NAAC Charter. NAAC operates from over twenty million dollars in receipts since 2009. Over the past 25 years, the principals have successfully administered and managed programs that addressed energy savings and fuel assistance, financial literacy, housing, lead remediation, job creation, and job training. The management was instrumental in founding the New Jersey Commission on American Indian Affairs. The core principles of this organization have a successful management history. Programs: Our AmeriCorps program, Cohanzick Climate Corps, promotes environmental stewardship by installing energy-saving materials to reduce utility bills for low-income households. At the same time, we are making a difference in our community, teaching skills that members will use their entire career, no matter where they work, and earning money to further their education. AmeriCorps is a nationwide community service program. In every state, programs like ours help address needs within our communities, like literacy, poverty, public safety, healthy living, and protecting the environment. We also help recruit community volunteers for the communities we serve. Our Weatherization and HIP programs are designed to help low-income families and individuals reduce energy costs by providing materials and installation of approved items. Our Lead Remediation program assists eligible occupants in remediating and/or abatement lead-based paint hazards in pre-1978 one to four-family residential units.

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time for reflection and recognition. Yet for us, the local Native communities throughout New Jersey, acknowledgment remains a quiet echo despite our lasting presence and contributions. Native American Advancement Corp with the Cohanzick Nature Reserve is a testament to resilience and progress, securing over $26 million in state and federal conservation and workforce development funding. We've partnered with communities and organizations statewide, building a legacy for environmental justice, yet remain unseen in the spaces that celebrate others' achievements. This November, join us as we amplify our voices, heritage, and impact. It's time to recognize the Indigenous heartbeat that sustains this land. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #IndigenousHeritage #HonorNativeVoices #IndigenousPride #NativeRepresentation #NativeVoicesMatter #ProtectNativeLand #LandBack #SupportNativeCommunities #IndigenousStorytelling #NativeAmericanHistory #IndigenousStrength #HeritageAndHealing #WeAreStillHere #CelebrateNativeCulture New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
