Natrx | Adaptive Infrastructure

Last month, our coastal restoration team produced and installed Cajun Coral at the new Raising Cane's Hotel Sid reef near Grand Isle. The reef is made of 10,000 square feet of Cajun Coral. Designed by technology company Natrx | Adaptive Infrastructure, Cajun Coral is a highly flexible module that promotes habitat growth and ecological benefits that strengthen over time. The reef consists of four areas and utilizes more than 500 modules to create 10,000+ square feet of living reef, in turn providing a home for all marine species up and down the food chain. Thanks to CCA Louisiana, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers for including us on this important project!

Great event this week pitching our Nature Tech story at Venture Atlanta Conference this week. Shout out to the volunteer pitch coaches and mentors at VA as well as Maureen Huguley, our The Idea Village buddy who helped us distill down a funky reef business into 3 crisp minutes... not easy! It is great to see the growth equity ecosystem thriving in the southeast, and see some of our investors like Front Porch Venture Partners and Oval Park Capital in the thick of things!

Post hurricane update for our customers: We are open for business! Danos headquarters was in the path of Hurricane Francine. We are thankful to report that the Danos team is safe, and our offices, worksites and shops fared quite well. We are prepared and ready to serve you. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all those who were affected by the storm.

Following the installation of the Hotel Sid artificial reef a few weeks ago, Louisiana Public Broadcasting / Louisiana Educational TV Authority wanted to learn more about what makes that artificial reef so innovative. How does this Louisiana-manufactured product perform better than traditional solutions with less material and less project cost? Karen LeBlanc from LPB paid a visit to our Resilience Center of Excellence in Amelia Louisiana to get the answer. Take a deeper look at how our ExoForms (nicknamed "Cajun Coral" in Louisiana) are designed, manufactured, and deployed with our partner Danos. Karen spent some time with our CEO Leonard Nelson and Danos Ventures CEO, Eric Danos learning what makes this technology so promising for tackling coastal resilience challenges in Louisiana around the world.
