Lake Clark National Park is home to hundreds of Alaska's iconic brown bears -- the same ones we encounter at our Alaska Bear Camp! Unfortunately, their habitat is under threat from a mining interest that would devastate this pristine landscape. Tomorrow, 9/25 at 1PM MST, we'll talk with Jennifer Woolworth, Alaska Program Manager at the National Parks Conservation Association about the proposed Johnson Tract Mine and the impact it would have on the area. Ask questions and learn what you can do to help halt this threat to Alaska’s beloved brown bears. A frustrated brown bear in Alaska's Katmai National Park with Natural Habitat Adventures who just dove for a salmon and missed it. This handsome devil snorkeled for salmon in a deep pool (he's standing up here) about 10 feet from a sandbar we (a small group of 6) were camped out on. He came to us without a care in the world and gave us an incredible show for over 40 minutes. #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturalhabitatadventures #travelwriter #onassignment
