Exciting news! Today Qcells North America (Qcells), a leading U.S. solar panel manufacturer, and Navajo Power Home (NPH) announced their partnership to provide clean energy to over 300 homes on the Navajo Nation. With Qcells' solar panel donation and a $5 million award from the DOE, Navajo Power Home is on track to power 1,000 homes by 2025.
As founders of NPH, our hearts swell with pride as we witness the extraordinary upstart growth and impact of Navajo Power Home, a beacon of hope and empowerment within our community.
Congratulations to Chanse Foster and Jeremy Begay, the stars of today's press event and to the dedicated efforts of their Navajo staff of 13, Navajo Power Home has blossomed into a force for positive change and progress.
Together through collaboration, we stand as pillars of strength, enriching the lives of customers with critical energy services that empower the lives of indigenous peoples and the future generations to come.
A special thank you goes to Deana Jackson for her exceptional event coordination and to Qcells Team and the Department of Energy for their invaluable support.
It was an honor to have Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren speak at the Press Conference today. President Nygren offered words of encouragement and support to electrify Navajo homes and improve the quality of life for Navajo Families.
We extend our deepest appreciation to all the press for their participation and to our team members for their collaborative work in making today's event a success.
And last but not least, to all the supporters who attended your presence and encouragement were invaluable.
Together, we are working to create a meaningful impact on our communities and laying the foundation for a just transition and sustainable future.
