We often get asked about best practices when it comes to interactive demos. Specifically things like: ▪️ What use cases are most popular for interactive demos? ▪️ Should I gate or ungate my interactive demo? ▪️ Where should I place my interactive demo on my website? So we analyzed the top 1% (by CTR and traffic) of the over 18,000 demos built on our platform. And updated our State of the Interactive Product Demo Report to share 2024 interactive demo trends. 📺 How Eric Holland 💀 at Klue built their 14 demo website demo center. ”One demo is not enough, especially if you've got a complicated product with a lot of different jobs to be done within it. When you think about all the different stakeholders involved in the buying process, it's not just your power user or your champion.” Building Tips: “We had CS, product, sales, and marketing involved. This cross-functional exercise helped ensure everyone was part of the process and we ended up with different tours for our champion persona.” ”Just get them out there. Don't be shy about it. Coming from a competitive intelligence platform, your competitor has probably seen your product one way or another. So putting it out there on your website is only going to help your buyer.” Read or watch the full interviews under “Customer Interviews” on our blog Note: These interviews are sourced from the builders of the top 1% of interactive demos from our State of the Interactive Product Demo ‘24.

We've had a few customers ask how to make sure their demo meets web accessibility guidelines. Below are three simple steps to improve the accessibility of your demo: 1️⃣ Update your demo themes ‒ Use a free color contract checker for your dialog color vs font color ‒ Add a high contract Focus Ring around your step text and buttons ‒ Make sure your font is accessible* *Arial, Verdana, Times New Roman, and Helvetica are some common examples of more accessible fonts 2️⃣ Test your demo with screen readers ‒ Include Aria Descriptions to explain interactive elements in your demo ‒ Use a free screen reader to check you’re properly dictating what is happening in the demo 3️⃣ Improve navigation ‒ Turn on navigation buttons so users can use the tab keyboard to progress ‒ Toggle on auto progress in your mobile swipe view Read more about web accessibility for interactive demos ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e8xAMKst

The 3 biggest blockers that stop an interactive demo from going live? 1) Not knowing what features/aha moments to include 2) Last-minute revisions by other departments 3) Silos between departments on the demo story All these blockers are why we built in-app collaboration. A way to collaborate with other team members or departments as you’re building the demo - instead of after you've built it. Read more about in-app collaboration ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eEghTT_E
