A tech-enabled solution for payers to enhance access and engagement in evidence-based, in-network treatment.

About us

Navigator is an independent service for people and their friends and family whose lives are affected by drug and alcohol use. We provide personalized guidance for rapid access to effective, evidence-based treatment. We arrange for an expert evaluation where the need for treatment is fully assessed and interventions are defined. Our experienced team of Care Specialists knows the hurdles you face when finding the right kind of care for substance abuse. You might want answers to some basic questions: • Do I need help? • What kind of help do I need? • Where do I get that kind of help? • Will my treatment be kept confidential? • Does my insurance cover this? We offer help wherever you are in your search. We guide you through the confusing process of finding alcohol and drug rehab. Everyone has different needs when it comes to treatment. Ours is not a one-size-fits-all approach. For a program to be effective and for you to feel comfortable attending your appointments, it must meet your needs, fit into your lifestyle, and be covered by your insurance.

  • 🌟Let’s Talk about Stress: Easing the Transition Back to School and Work 🌟 As we return to our routines after a period of rest, whether it's heading back to school or resuming work post-vacation, it's natural to feel a mix of emotions. Excitement, anticipation, and sometimes, stress. Here are some common causes of stress during this transition: - Adjusting to new schedules - Meeting academic or professional expectations - Managing increased responsibilities - Balancing work or school with personal life To help mitigate this stress, consider the following strategies: - Plan ahead: Organize your tasks and set realistic goals to avoid feeling overwhelmed. - Stay active: Regular physical activity can enhance your mood and reduce stress levels. - Practice mindfulness: Techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, or intentionally slowing down can help you stay calm and focused. - Connect with others: Share your feelings with friends, family, or colleagues to gain support and perspective. - Maintain a healthy routine: Prioritize sleep, nutrition, and self-care to keep your body and mind in balance. While turning to substances, including alcohol, during stressful times might offer temporary relief, this approach can lead to more significant challenges over time. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use and seeking support, Navigator Healthcare Inc. is here to help. Our compassionate, 24/7, year-round services provide evidence-based care to guide you toward a healthier, more balanced life. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength. Social wellness is especially crucial for individuals recovering from substance use. Not only does it provide the support and encouragement needed for a successful recovery, it also helps the loved ones, spouses, children and parents who are supporting those recovering. Let's take a moment to understand what social wellness is and how it can enhance our lives. ❔What is Social Wellness? Social wellness involves building healthy, nurturing, and supportive relationships as well as fostering a genuine connection with those around you. It’s about balancing your personal needs with the needs of others, developing a sense of belonging, and creating a reliable support system. ❔Why is Social Wellness Important? - Enhances Emotional Health: Positive social interactions can boost your mood and reduce stress.  - Improves Physical Health: Strong social ties have been linked to lower rates of anxiety, depression, and even chronic illnesses.  - Increases Longevity: Individuals with strong social connections tend to live longer, happier lives.  - Promotes Personal Growth: Engaging with others helps you learn new perspectives and grow as an individual.  - Supports Recovery from Substance Use: Strong social connections can provide the necessary support and encouragement for those recovering from substance use disorders, helping them to stay on track and avoid relapse. ❔How to Start Working on Your Social Wellness:  1. Connect with Loved Ones: Schedule regular catchups with family and friends, even if it’s just a quick call or message.  2. Join Groups or Clubs: Find groups that align with your interests and get involved.  3. Volunteer: Giving back to the community can help you meet new people and feel a sense of accomplishment.  4. Improve Communication Skills: Practice active listening and open, honest communication to strengthen your relationships.  5. Set Boundaries: Ensure your relationships are balanced and mutually respectful. Honoring PTSD Awareness Month: Shedding Light on Invisible Wounds June marks PTSD Awareness Month, a crucial time to shine a spotlight on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and its intersection with substance misuse. PTSD isn't just a condition that affects veterans; it can develop in anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. Unfortunately, many individuals turn to substance use as a way to cope with the symptoms of PTSD, leading to a complex cycle of co-occurring disorders. This month let's break the silence and stigma surrounding PTSD and substance misuse. Let's foster empathy, support, and education to ensure that those affected by these invisible wounds receive the help and understanding they deserve. As we observe PTSD Awareness Month, let's commit to: - Increasing awareness: Educate yourself and others about the connection between PTSD and substance misuse, as well as available resources for support and treatment. - Promoting understanding: Cultivate a compassionate and supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences and seek help without fear of judgment. - Supporting those affected: Reach out to friends, family members, or colleagues who may be struggling with PTSD and substance misuse. Offer a listening ear, empathy, and assistance in finding professional help if needed. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with PTSD and substance misuse. Let's stand together with compassion and support this PTSD Awareness Month and beyond. #PTSDAwarenessMonth #BreakTheStigma #MentalHealthMatters #SubstanceMisuse #SupportVeterans #EndTheSilence #NavigatorHealthcare
