We are excited to introduce the enhanced CPC Program as the Maintaining Anesthesia Certification (MAC) Program! Through the MAC Program's three key components, CRNAs can stay current with evolving healthcare advancements: MAC Ed (60 Class A credits), MAC Dev (40 Class B credits), and MAC Check (which replaces CPCA). Promoting Patient Safety by Enhancing Provider Quality
About us
The National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is the nation's certifying body for the initial and continued certification for the 59,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA). The NBCRNA is dedicated to promoting patient safety by enhancing provider quality in the field of nurse anesthesia. We accomplish our mission through the development and implementation of credentialing programs that support lifelong learning among nurse anesthetists. The 59,000+ CRNAs in the United States work in nearly every health care setting that involves anesthesia, in both rural and urban areas, in every state. The rigorous and demanding initial education and training, followed by the ongoing continued certification, places nurse anesthetists at the forefront of a growing movement to ensure continuing competency in health care practitioners.
