LinkedIn, meet Dr. Louis ‘Skip’ Perkins 🦅 Dr. Louis B. “Skip" Perkins, Jr. is the fearless leader of the NCCU Athletic Department. His role as Athletic Director began in June of 2022, but his history with North Carolina Central University began in 1990 as an undergraduate student. Since first stepping foot on the sloping hills and verdant green, Dr. Perkins journey has been nothing short of spectacular. He served as an Assistant Vice President for Development at Morgan State University and was Director of Athletics at 3 different institutions before returning home to ‘The Nest.’ Dr. Perkins is focused not only on helping his alma mater win, but turn student-athletes, into scholar-athletes. It takes a winner to make winners. Dr. Perkins makes sure that NCCU wins on and off the court!
