Today, STEM East is hosting member community colleges for a National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) workshop. The NSF ATE grant program supports partnerships between two-year institutions of higher education, other academic institutions, industry and other entities to improve the education of technicians in science and engineering. Currently there are only 2 of the 16 community colleges in the NC East region that have received recent ATE awards. Thank you to Dr. Charlene Dukes, Dr. Elizabeth Hawthorne, and Pamela Silvers for providing an excellent introduction to NSF ATE Funding and Mentoring Opportunities!
