Thank you to the New England Council for hosting Senator Susan Collins at the Portland ME offices of Drummond Woodsum for a discussion with James (Jim) T. Brett before a standing-room audience! The Senator is the ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, a key post in deciding funding priorities. Senator Collins talked about the upcoming election, national security issues and many of the ways she's helped the people and economy of Maine. And great to be with Mark Gallagher of Drummond Woodsum as well as LuAnn Ballesteros of The Jackson Laboratory!

ABMA's Mike McDole of Firing-Line LBM Consulting had the pleasure of meeting with Congressman Seth Magaziner in Providence earlier this week. The event hosted by the New England Council offered ABMA the chance thank the congressman for voting in favor of HR 7024 The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act—a crucial bill for the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry. Yesterday I was honored to participate in a discussion in Boston with leaders and friends focused on the state of health care in Massachusetts and emerging trends. The forum was moderated by my friend and colleague, James (Jim) T. Brett of the New England Council, and I had the opportunity to share the latest developments at UMass Memorial Health. I couldn’t be prouder of our army of innovators and the amazing impact they are having for those living across Central Massachusetts and beyond.
