As a former recruiter turned HR & TA lead, I’ve been on all sides of the talent lifecycle. At the Talent Acquisition: The Engine of Business Growth session with Lars Schmidt, Trisha Degg, Apple Musni & David Paffenholz 🧃 during #Transform2025, I asked a question that stems from the way I've seen some orgs operate: "At times, TA and HR are seen as separate functions, so how can we foster better collaboration so that recruiters are engaged beyond just getting the offer signed?" There were some great takeaways from the discussion throughout the session: 💡 TA and HR are stronger together. Defining responsibilities, tracking data, and having leadership support helps create a seamless experience. Hiring isn’t just about getting people in the door, but setting them up for long-term success, and TA and HR need to partner and speak as one. 💡 Recruiters should think like business partners just like HRBPs do. The best hiring decisions happen when TA teams deeply understand the company’s product, strategy, and long-term goals. Sit with the hiring teams and learn from them. 💡 Quality > speed. Rushing to fill seats and close reqs without alignment leads to regrettable hires. You should invest in the right processes, involve key stakeholders early, and make hiring a true business priority. Make sure the workflow is tight and effective, because just throwing AI or any tech at the process won't fix it. The best TA teams don’t just bring people in, they help shape the future of the company. Excited to keep learning and evolving!
