501(c)(3) preparing neurodiverse students for careers in Drones, GIS and AI

About us

Neurodiversity is another category of diversity. Organizations describe neurodiversity as a category of diversity, like race and gender, which seeks to embrace and maximize the talents of people who think differently. 15%-20% of the population is neurodiverse. We are passionate about preparing neurodiverse students for careers in the drone industry. We develop targeted technical training programs, foster relationships between students and industry mentors, and work with employers to advocate for neurodiverse hiring programs.

🚀 Transforming the Future with Neurodiversity Works Drone Summer Camp! 🌟 We are thrilled to offer a sneak peek into the incredible journey at our Drone Summer Camp, where neurodiverse individuals are leading the way in STEM innovation. Our latest video showcases the excitement and learning as campers immerse themselves in drone technology, developing unique skills that set them apart. Why is this important? Although 85% of autistic college graduates face underemployment, their productivity and retention often exceed that of their neurotypical peers. It's time to revolutionize how we train and employ neurodiverse talent, enabling them to excel in STEM fields. In partnership with School to Work Alliance Programs (SWAP), we provide students with opportunities to envision their future careers. Join us in this movement to redefine inclusion! Watch our video to witness the impact and visit https://lnkd.in/gFJjU37c to find out how you can help create a more inclusive future. #DroneCamp #NeurodiversityInSTEM #STEMInnovation #EmpowerNeurodiversity #NeurodiversityWorks Nicole Corder | Jason San Souci ∞

In the wake of hurricanes Milton and Helene, we’ve compiled some crucial resources for using reality capture in disaster response: Airspace Safety First! Helicopters rescuing people or delivering supplies must return to base if unauthorized aircraft like drones are in the air. Before flying, check for NOTAMs from the FAA - drone pilots must follow all local restrictions. Mapping in Natural Disasters: Wireless communications is likely to be down or be very low bandwidth. Be ready to drive back to locations with Cloud access or deliver images by thumb drive. Coordination is key: Don’t interfere with emergency response, and ensure you have authorization. For reconnaissance & rapid assessment, capture small videos, photos, and ground panoramas. After danger subsides, and rescues are complete, high-resolution orthos are vital for damage assessment. DroneDeploy is also offering free 6-month licenses for crisis response teams. Link in comments. Thank you to Robin Murphy and CRASAR for their guidance and collaboration on this guide. #DisasterResponse #RealityCapture #DroneTech #HurricaneResponse #AerialMapping #hurricanemilton
