AG Aaron D. Ford, current Chair of the Attorney General Alliance (AGA), recently visited the Microsoft campus.   The meeting, organized by the AGA, gave AG Ford and several of his AG colleagues the opportunity to discuss emerging issues in generative AI including: consumer protection, privacy, deep fake fraud, child SA material, and other items with Microsoft. 

According to the National Cancer Institute, Nevada's breast cancer mortality rate is 21.7 percent, which is higher than the national average. Today, Attorney General Aaron Ford released the following comment after the announcement that three lawsuits challenging Nevada’s voter roll maintenance lawsuits were being voluntarily dismissed.  

Today, Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford has urged a federal judge in Spokane, Washington, to rule that the FDA’s severe restrictions on the abortion medication mifepristone are unlawful and order the federal agency to reconsider their regulation of the drug.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced that his office’s lawsuits against social media giants TikTok, Snapchat and Meta’s Messenger have cleared key procedural hurdles and will move toward trial. This announcement comes on the same day that a coalition of 14 other attorneys general have filed separate lawsuits against TikTok. These lawsuits are separate from the lawsuits filed by AG Ford earlier this year.

Congratulations to Deputy Attorney General Lauren Driscoll for receiving the Nevada Legal Services Champion of Justice Award. Lauren's legal education and practice experience have emphasized the importance of access to justice for all litigants. She takes pride in being part of a legal community that shares these same values.

Attorney General Aaron D. Ford announced that Nevada’s ghost gun law remains on the books following the District Court’s order largely adopting the factual findings proposed by the State and holding firm to its prior conclusion that Nevada’s ghost gun law is constitutional.

Investigators Dominguez and Mercedes, and Administrative Assistant Hailey Chavez received the Las Vegas Rotary Club SOAR award for their exemplary work in the Tobacco Unit. Their tireless effort to restrict underage consumer access to tobacco products is deserving of recognition.
