A 16-acre NBU concrete complex is transforming into a vibrant, nature-focused community space through public and private support. It's returning to its natural ecosystem, making it a place for native species to thrive. Water is at the heart of New Braunfels, sustaining our lives and powering our tourism-driven economy. At NBU, we take our role as water stewards seriously, especially in wastewater management. This often unseen aspect of our daily lives is more than just pipes and tanks. Everything we pour down the drain—from dishwater to industrial runoff—must be thoroughly disinfected before it re-enters our rivers and streams to protect public health and avoid harming the ecosystem.
