Enhancing the economic vitality of the State of New Hampshire and promoting it as a destination to live, work and visit.
About us
The Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) is dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality of the State of New Hampshire and promoting it as a destination to live, work and visit. Established in 2017, BEA is a cabinet-level agency which leads New Hampshire’s pro-growth state policy efforts for workforce development, tourism marketing and promotion, business recruitment, retention, expansion, international commerce, and economic development statewide. Our responsive staff links businesses and manufacturers to innovative programs and services to help them grow and prosper and those considering relocation to or expansion in the Granite State. The majority of our programs and services are provided at no cost. In addition to providing assistance in areas ranging from licensing and financing to permitting and workforce training, the Division of Economic Development staff works with federal, regional, local and other state agencies, as well as with private sector partners, to deliver services. When 1,000 miles of ATV trails opened for riding a few years ago throughout northern #NewHampshire, economic opportunities followed. Just ask Steve Baillargeon, co-owner of Bear Rock Adventures in Pittsburg. “Usually after I work, this was my play time,” he said. “Now it seems to be my play time all the time so it’s pretty amazing.” #LiveFree #OutdoorEconomy #ChooseNH
