This past Tuesday, our New Land teams gathered for our second all-company meeting of the year! We had the pleasure of hosting it at the iconic Oriental Theatre—a true gem in Milwaukee’s history and community. Fun fact: New Land was proud to play a role in the theatre’s restoration, helping to reopen its doors in 2021. 🎉 We heard from leaders across property management, hospitality, finance, HR, and development, celebrating our successes and looking forward to the future as we continue to build up the neighborhoods we call home. And in true New Land fashion, we wrapped things up with some food, drinks, and friendly bowling competition next door at Landmark Lanes! 🎳 A big thank you to the teams at the Oriental Theatre, Landmark Lanes, and our incredible hospitality and HR teams for making this event a success! 👏 #lifeatnewland #lovewhereyouwork

We love this city and we are passionate about making it the best it can be.    Our team at Crossroads Collective has taken the lead on programming Ivanhoe Plaza this summer. This is what New Land is all about: creating dynamic and active spaces for people to come together. Hosting events in the plaza comes back to our vision for Crossroads Collective - to create a place where people can support small businesses, connect with neighbors, and enjoy food, drinks, and now also music and entertainment. 🎶🎤 A huge kudos to our Crossroads social media and events coordinator, Hannah Gulledge, who has been instrumental in the programming this summer. Hannah has done an amazing job coordinating free, accessible, and community-oriented activities from concerts to pop-up shops. How amazing is our crew? 💙 Talking about the New Land Enterprises crew; of course! Last Friday we hosted our tailgate for 150 of our residents from 8, EIGHT, different New Land properties. We of course were equipped with our New Land flags as well! A huge THANK YOU to Jordan Adkins for being our ticket/tailgate extraordinaire! Memories like this, with all of these extraordinary friends, are why we do; what we do!

Last Wednesday, we were thrilled to welcome members of the USDA Forest Service and Chief Randy Moore to #AscentMKE! We discussed the building's design and construction process, highlighting how mass timber construction creates aesthetically beautiful and technologically advanced buildings, promotes forest growth, and utilizes a renewable resource while reducing our carbon footprint. The exposed timber showcases the biophilic design elements throughout the building, which is something everyone – residents, builders, architects, and even foresters – love and appreciate. A special thank you to Patrick Rappold, Stephanie Carman, Nick Pardi, and Brian Brashaw, for coordinating this important visit. Ascent is just the beginning as we move forward into the future of mass-timber construction with Timber + Partners and continue to utilize this advanced and sustainable construction method that demonstrates the powerful potential of our forests in building a greener future. 🌳💡

Our team had a great time connecting with everyone who visited our table at the United Performing Arts Fund Ride for the Arts after-party on the Summerfest grounds!
