We surveyed families in Etzatlán, Mexico, and learned that housing options were out of reach for the average family. So we designed Casa NEXT, a solution that makes homeownership 20% more affordable.

We're thrilled to announce that Erica Campbell has joined New Story as our head of marketing & communications! Erica brings 15 years' experience in marketing, PR and corporate communications, and was most recently at Hines, a real estate investment manager with $93B AUM. Erica will evolve and amplify New Story's external presence to achieve our mission of bringing affordable land and housing solutions to those who need them most.

When the local government had an open call for applications to the Las Fuentes community in Etzatlán, Mexico, Miriam was excited to see that the payment program was more affordable compared to other programs. “Buying a home can be scary, and there usually isn’t a lot of support to do it. But the land program had support and it was easier to make monthly payments instead of larger payments.” Now that her family finished payments towards their own plot of land, Miriam is close to securing her dream two-story home, where they can operate a storefront on the first floor and live on the second floor. Meet Isaac. 👋 A single man working two jobs, he is already dreaming of building his patrimony to pass down a legacy. Isaac dreams of starting his own business as a foot doctor consultant out of his home. He completed his monthly payments towards a plot of land in the Las Fuentes community in Etzatlán, Mexico, receiving his land title. “It was a moment full of joy, safety, and tranquility,” he says. Isaac is well on his way to building a home for his future family and business. Thanks to support from investors and philanthropists, we're expanding this work across Mexico. Welcome to Las Fuentes, a 941-lot community in Etzatlán, Mexico 🇲🇽 An innovative land development model pioneered by our local partner UR+PA provided low-income families an opportunity to purchase a formal lot with a title and services. And now, these families can use their land titles to secure a housing loan, self-build their home, and create generational wealth.

Affordable housing options are scarce for low-income families in Mexico. We're changing the narrative by developing land through investments and partnerships. The sustainable model allows families to own property in just two years — one of the fastest options for low-income families across all of Mexico!

Meet Esmeralda. 👋 A single mom with a four-year-old son and working as a stylist and makeup artist in Etzatlán, Mexico, her dream has always been to provide security and a home for her son. She recently completed her payments for a lot in the Las Fuentes community in Etzatlán and is now a landowner! Now, she's planning to build her home and create a "comforting place where there's joy and a shared love." We are scaling this work across Mexico with the help of investors and philanthropists.
