Last weekend in Jamay, Jalisco, 1,800+ people showed up to learn about New Story and UR+PA’s newest project: 353 affordable lots that will become a thriving community. Safe, legal, and affordable access to land is a critical step toward housing security, and this turnout is a testament to the need. A huge thank you to Carlos Ochoa Fernandez, UR+PA, and the Jamay community for making this launch a reality.

Mexico has a housing gap of 8.5 million homes, affecting 33 million people (33 million people = everyone in Texas and Oregon combined). Lack of access to land ownership fuels poverty, inequality, and unfair social structures. Our approach helps vulnerable families buy land, establish a credit profile, and access home building resources.

That's why we developed our Impact Management Framework as our blueprint. Inspired by globally recognized standards like GIIN's IRIS+, our framework helps us show how our market-based housing solutions create lasting change for vulnerable families.
