Really looking forward to hearing from a panel of spectacular LL.M. alumni for the upcoming New York County Lawyers Association event "Legal Careers for International LLMs in the US." Please join us!
Please join us Elizabeth Chen and I for our inaugural New York County Lawyers Association LLM Networking Event! On the menu is an awesome a panel discussion about the career opportunities available to international graduates of U.S. LL.M. programs and strategies for obtaining a U.S.-based legal career. We will also address how employing international LL.M. graduates helps achieve diversity and inclusion within business organizations as well as within the broader legal profession. Our panelists are successful U.S. lawyers who obtained their first law degrees outside the U.S., followed by LL.M. degrees in the U.S. at many prestigious institutions. You will learn how the panelists achieved diverse legal careers in the U.S. ranging from partner in a major U.S. law firm to a sole proprietor, counsel at a foundation, BigLaw associate, and corporate counsel. After the formal program is concluded, there will be an opportunity to VIRTUALLY network with the other attendees, panelists and program chairs. TO REGISTER:

Advocacy in action!
Congratulations to New York County Lawyers Association volunteer, Nicholas Cawley, and our NYCLA Intern, Jesse Bennett (a 3L spending his last semester at The University of Texas School of Law with NYCLA) for their recent win on behalf of a client in our State Central Registry #ProBono Project. We worked together to help a client fight their unwarranted indication on the State Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment. As a result of their advocacy, the administrative law judge agreed that the indication should be sealed, freeing our client to pursue employment in childcare, foster, and adopt children. #legalservices #publicinterest #socialservices #law #keepingfamiliestogether

Well said David Slarskey!
I just joined the Rule of Law Committee at the New York County Lawyers Association. Whatever our policy differences--and there are many--protecting the rule of law is fundamental to maintaining ordered freedom and liberty. Those are big words for a LinkedIn post. But that's what lawyers get paid for. Having the best words. Let's use them.

We are excited for Chaimaa Chafoui to have this opportunity and for her to learn from Judge Aaron and his team. #NYCLABaerIntern Congratulations!
I am excited to announce that I have accepted a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge Stewart Aaron in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. I would like to thank New York County Lawyers Association for connecting me to this internship opportunity as part of their 2025 Equity and Inclusion Judiciary Internship Program. I am looking forward to gaining invaluable experience working within the federal judicial system and learning from such an incredible and experienced judge throughout this upcoming summer.
