Have some gently used sneakers in your closet you've been meaning to get rid of? 👟 Donate them! ♻️ To further support our sustainability efforts and to keep unused shoes out of landfills, NYRR is hosting a sneaker collection at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub, and asking the community to bring their gently used sneakers for donation. We’re working with Sneaker Impact, a sustainable sneaker disposal service with the mission to educate everyone on the many benefits of recycling their gently used sneakers. 📍: Donations will be accepted at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub. 🗓️: Tuesday, September 3–Tuesday, October 1 (during hours of operation). We are excited to announce announce our landmark broadcast deal with ABC7/WABC-TV and ESPN marking the network’s first-ever year-round exclusive broadcast partnership! Congratulations to our Rising New York Road Runners Youth Ambassadors! 🎓🎓🎓 Last week, our Rising NYRR Youth Ambassadors joined us at the NYRR RUNCENTER feat. the New Balance Run Hub to deliver their final speeches after six weeks of speech fundamentals and public-speaking training. In these workshops, participants learned how to effectively share their running story, in support of our vision to build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running. After participating in the workshops, Rising NYRR Youth Ambassadors have the opportunity to showcase their newly learned skills while attending press events with the potential to be interviewed by local news outlets, to participate in special events, including the TCS New York City Marathon, and to meet professional athletes and key members of the running industry! The 2024 #StatenIslandHalf takes place Sunday, October 13, and we’re looking for medical professionals and students to volunteer and help support a safe race for all.
