The World Bank recently praised Edo State's progress in basic education reform through the Edo Basic Education Sector and Skills Transformation Programme. Governor Godwin Obaseki's administration has significantly improved the performance of state-owned primary schools by using a data-driven approach and innovative classroom technology. The Executive Chairman of Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (Edo SUBEB), Ozavize Salami, shared that the program has benefitted over 380,000 pupils across 18 local government areas. By up-skilling teachers, providing well-researched materials, and implementing technology for classroom management, EdoBEST sets a new standard for educational excellence.
