    Yesterday, Rabina celebrated the top out of 520 Fifth Avenue, now officially the tallest mixed-use tower on Fifth Avenue, reaching 1,002 feet. This Midtown skyscraper, designed by renowned architects at KPF, brings together 100 luxury residences (with 70% already sold), 25 exclusive office floors, and the high-end Moss members' club. Reflecting New York’s architectural heritage with tiered setbacks, grand arched windows, and materials like terra cotta, the building’s style reimagines Midtown’s famous “stepping” towers. Ian Klein of Rabina, along with interior designer Vicky Charles of Charles & Co, brought a refined, modern aesthetic to every detail, from the high ceilings to the expansive skyline views.   Read more: https://lnkd.in/eVfP7zCJ

    For the first time in its 200-year history, New York City's Fifth Avenue will undergo a major redesign, transforming the stretch between Bryant Park and Central Park into a pedestrian-friendly boulevard. Unveiled by Mayor Eric Adams and the Future of Fifth Partnership, the project will nearly double sidewalk space, reduce traffic lanes, and add hundreds of new trees.     The Children's Museum of Manhattan recently unveiled renderings of its highly anticipated new location at 361 Central Park West on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Designed by FXCollaborative the $300 million project will repurpose a historic church and offer 80,000 square feet of exhibit space. The museum aims to double its visitor capacity and provide more enriching experiences for children. With support from various donors, including the City of New York and the Bezos Family Foundation, CMOM is expected to open in 2028. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eMNm88CH

    The New Rochelle Transit Center redevelopment plan, designed by FXCollaborative and developed by the City of New Rochelle, aims to transform the historic center into a modern, pedestrian-friendly hub. The project includes a master plan to improve connectivity, structural changes to the Transit Center, and the addition of a multi-purpose plaza and green spaces.     The Manhattan residential market witnessed a remarkable surge during the week of September 30th to October 6th, 2024. Over half a billion dollars in contracts were signed for apartments and townhouses, marking the highest tally since the spring. One notable development contributing to the market boom was the launch of sales at 255 East 77th Street, a collaboration between Naftali Group and Robert A.M.     The Financial District of Lower Manhattan is set to welcome a new residential landmark. 55 Broad Street, a 36-story tower formerly Goldman Sach's headquarters, is undergoing a dramatic transformation from office space to luxury apartments. The project, developed by Silverstein Properties and Metro Loft, is expected to be completed in mid-2025.     New renderings have been unveiled for Metropolitan Park, a 20-acre park planned for the former site of Shea Stadium in Queens. The park is part of a larger $8 billion development that includes a Hard Rock Casino & Hotel, a food hall, spacious lawns, a live music venue, and restaurants.     JFK International Airport is undergoing a major transformation as part of its $19 billion “Vision Plan” - which includes a new $9.5 billion Terminal One, a $4.2 billion Terminal 6 that will connect with Terminal 5, a $1.5 billion expansion of Terminal 4, and a $400 million expansion of Terminal 8 led by American Airlines. Additionally, the program includes the construction of a new roadway network with a pedestrian connector and rainwater harvesting facility, as well as a new ground transportation center. Passengers can expect not only a smoother journey but also access to exciting new amenities, including a wave of premium lounges from JetBlue, Korean Air, Aer Lingus, and Capital One.
