Nexstar is happy to announce the promotion of Lloyd Bucher to VP/General Manager of WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Bucher, who was born and raised in Philadelphia, brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience in broadcast management, marketing, and sales to his new position at Nexstar. He previously served as VP/General Manager of Nexstar’s Carolinas' Own Queen City News, WJZY-TV and WMYT-TV in Charlotte, NC, for almost three years. “Nexstar is extremely fortunate to be able to bring someone with Lloyd’s experience back to his hometown to manage the company’s broadcast and digital operations,” said Brandin Stewart, SVP/Regional Manager for Nexstar’s broadcasting division. “Lloyd has been successful everywhere he’s worked and consistently driven growth in ratings, revenue and profit by seizing opportunities to forge new relationships with advertisers and marketers, creating and developing new programming, and deepening his connection to the local community. He will be a great leader for our Philly media businesses.” Mr. Bucher succeeds Vincent Giannini, who retired earlier this month. https://lnkd.in/gyiV93cy

Nexstar's Founder's Day was this past Friday. I love being part of a company that volunteers its stations to participate in helping their communities. We chose Family Service this year along with our weekly volunteering with Meals on Wheels. The work Family Service does is truly amazing pushing out thousands of pounds of food daily to the needy. Adult Resource Alliance is also tremendous in helping feed and guide our communities aging community. I was personally grateful and proud of our station's contribution.
