In this week’s blog, Josh Jacobson breaks down the evolving role of corporate social responsibility in nonprofit fundraising. With pressure mounting for businesses to make a positive impact, it’s time for nonprofits to adopt a business development mindset — one that builds win-win partnerships instead of viewing philanthropy as a reward. Learn how understanding donor self-interest and focusing on value exchange can transform your fundraising efforts. 🚗 This week, Next Stage took to the road to spend some time with our partners at Piedmont Health, a multi-site, physician-owned, community health system serving the Piedmont region for nearly 55 years. We are excited to be working together to support their commitment to improving the health of our communities.  We had a fun and insightful time meeting their team members and touring the Carrboro Community Health Center!

CEO at Next Stage | Thought Leader | Collaboration Champion | Social Impact Expert | Movement Maker | Strengthening Employee Engagement & Workforce Pipelines | Rewiring Social Good & Building More Sustainable Communities

Big news today as we welcome Caylin Haldeman back to Next Stage. She returns to a company she originally joined in 2017, coming back after 3+ years of doing other awesome things to advance the world of social good. Caylin was more than Next Stage’s first hire. She was a thought partner to me in designing how we could increase our impact as a company. She was my trusted collaborator in building out the original Cultivate incubator for emerging nonprofit organizations. She was a champion for structure and process at a time when nothing was written down. So, so impressive and so clearly going places. And now she’s back! And in a role truly custom made for her as our new Director of Strategy. No question she returns to a very different Next Stage – one that has new ways of working and ambition we had yet to scratch the surface on before she left. New office. New colleagues. New mission. And yet, she fits right in with our team of talented professionals working together to “build belonging at the intersection of social good.” In some ways, it feels like she never left. Please join me in celebrating Caylin and her return to Next Stage! #socialgood #talent #welcomehome
