Completed Project! Delta Air Lines’ newest and largest airport lounge opened several weeks ago and NSD is proud to have been part of the foodservice design. Located in the Union Market neighborhood, O-Ku Sushi invites guests to explore modern Japanese cuisine that is defined by the freshest ingredients from around the world. Unlike traditional sushi restaurants, with glass display cases, O-Ku features a lively exhibition kitchen with wood-fired Robata grills. As June comes to a close, so does National Steak Month. NSD has collaborated with many top steakhouses across the country, and one of our favorites is COTE Miami. This is the first location outside of NYC for the acclaimed Korean steakhouse, which has held a Michelin star since its opening in 2017. The 5,892-square-foot space emulates its NYC flagship by marrying the fun and fire of Korean BBQ with the hallmarks of a classic American Steakhouse. Located in Miami’s chic Design District, NSD was responsible for designing the beautiful oval-shaped bar, a massive red light dry-aging room, tableside smokeless grills, beverage station, and the restaurant's back-of-house kitchen. June is National Seafood Month- one of our favorite food celebrations! NSD has had a hand in many of the nation's most notable seafood restaurants and dining experiences. One of them is the beautiful Bar Mar and Bazaar by Jose Andres in Chicago. Bar Mar is a celebration of the bounty of the sea, with a seafood-focused menu of oysters, ceviche, and José Andrés’ elegant take on a lobster roll. The 200-seat-venue features a NSD-designed custom raw bar counter and a massive island bar, with an octopus sculpture hanging above as a stunning centerpiece. And in case anyone is looking or a more meat-focused menu, they can head upstairs to the Bazaar. With the NBA Finals kicking off in Boston this week, one of our favorite spots in Beantown is at the stunning La Padora restaurant at Raffles hotel in Boston's iconic Back Bay. James Beard winning chef Jody Adams conjures up incredible Italian cuisine that changes with the season, sourcing ingredients from the New England region and directly from Italy. One of our favorite places to enjoy incredible food and cool sea breezes is the B-Liner at Kiawah Island Club in Kiawah Island, SC. NSD designed the bar, back-of-house kitchen, and crudo bar with a built-in Marra Forni hearth oven. The low-country focused restaurant features an expertly created menu by James Beard Award-winning chef mike lata, owner of Charleston’s acclaimed FIG and The Ordinary (also designed by NSD), that emphasizes locally sourced seafood and produce.
