About us

Camaraderie Foundation’s mission is to provide healing for invisible wounds of war through counseling, emotional and spiritual support for all branches of Military Service Members, Post - 9/11 Veterans and their family members. We strongly believe it’s our mission to serve Military families by building a strong community of support around them. The Foundation will provide financial assistance and promote counseling to these Military families from a private sector to supplement and add to existing government programs. Our warriors and their families are facing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Military sexual trauma, divorce, depression, anxiety, spousal abuse, child abuse and other problems. With your support we have the ability to help these Service Members and their families.

We are thrilled to invite you to a very special event—the Camaraderie Foundation’s 15th Anniversary American Patriot Gala on September 14, 2024, at the Sheraton North Orlando.   This black-tie evening promises a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, a three-course dinner, and delightful music and dancing. More importantly, it's an opportunity to make a profound impact on our veterans, military service members, and their families. Your support will help us continue providing essential counseling and transition services at no cost.   To date, the Camaraderie Foundation has awarded over 26,000 hours of counseling and supported more than 2,500 individuals and families. Our network of over 600 counselors provides nationwide coverage, ensuring that veterans in all 50 states and even abroad can access the help they need. As a board member, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of our work, and I truly believe in our mission. Your presence at this event would mean a lot to me and to those we serve.   Please consider putting this event on your calendar. A formal invitation will follow with more details. In the meantime, you can learn more at https://lnkd.in/eU-n6jvD

Saving Families. Saving Lives. Healing the invisible wounds of war. This is what the Camaraderie Foundation has been doing for 15 years now. This morning, in recognition of National PTSD Awareness Day, the organization hosted a breakfast in Orlando. Business and community leaders from across Central Florida (including Tampa) were on hand to hear some powerful testimonials and to learn about the impact that CAM (the affectionate nickname) has been making year after year. Below are the personal remarks from MG Bill Bond, US Army (Ret). Bill is a long-serving Board Member with CAM and he tells the story of why he credits the organization for saving his son’s life. I apologize for the rather amateur recording. I want to use this post to also recognize the courage and resilience of Doug W.. Doug is a military veteran and retired first responder. He told his story for the first time in public. We were all transfixed hearing about his desperation and then his salvation through counseling and the amazing support of his wife. There was a good bit of dust in the room too and that’s why folks were rubbing their eyes. As Doug wrapped up his testimonial, he emphasized that there is help available, you just need to ask. If you or anyone you know needs help, do not suffer in silence. Reach out. We all deserve to be whole and in a better place. #ptsd #mentalhealth #awareness #savingfamilies #savinglives #invisiblewounds #ask

💙SAY THEIR NAME. We hope this weekend you get to spend time with the people who mean the most to you. As you gather to enjoy the weather, the traditional BBQ, the beach and time outdoors, take note of the little things, the faces, the laughter, the emotions. In the end, those little things are the big things and what matters most. Tomorrow is not promised, so this weekend take time to pause IN REMEMBERANCE of the sacrifice our freedom stands on. Remember them. Say their name. Above all… ❗NEVER FORGET
