In honor of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, the crew of the Noble Stanley Lafosse proved that no matter where you are in the world, you can make a statement of support for those affected. Felicia Clary, Safety Training Specialist, and James Mitchell, Tour Pusher led the creativity of the night shift and painted the drill bit pink. Felicia said "The primary goal of this effort is to raise awareness, as we can sometimes become complacent and overlook the challenges that others face in their daily lives."

Recently, the Ocean BlackRhino finished up a successful development campaign in Senegal for Woodside Energy. The rig began operations in the Sangomar Field three years ago and has since delivered outstanding performance for the project, ending the entire campaign with 3% NPT (non-productive time). To put this campaign in perspective, the BlackRhino crews did some amazing work: · Ran 2,265 screen joints (25.6 km) · Ran 4,490 tubing joints (50.7 km) · Transferred 170,000 barrels of mud Together with the Ocean BlackHawk, the teams drilled and completed 24 wells and realized significant improvements in operational efficiency, completing the Sangomar project well ahead of schedule! These results could not have been realized without the strong partnership with our customer and team culture on the rigs. It was a proud moment seeing our client achieve first oil in Senegal earlier this year. Thanks to the BlackRhino and BlackHawk teams for their outstanding accomplishment with the Sangomar Field Development Phase 1, Senegal's first oil development project.

Patrick Janes, Vice President, HSE & Operations Support, recently spoke at the CIM | Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Health and Safety Conference in Toronto on how AI is improving processes in offshore drilling. Patrick presented CADDI (Contextual Automation & Direct Dialogue Information), our custom designed AI chat bot that currently has access to our library of global and rig specific policies and procedures. In cooperation with InterKnowlogy, CADDI was developed following feedback from our rig supervisors, and gives offshore teams the ability to use natural language (typed or spoken) to provide answers to their policy and procedure questions. It is meant to save time and enhance safety.
