So proud of the Nomi Network team for hosting an extraordinary Corporate Summit at the United Nations! The speakers were nothing short of phenomenal, leaving me deeply inspired and reflective on the powerful themes and quotes shared throughout the day. One quote that resonated with me was from Sue Xu: "With AI, if any woman has 100 ideas, they can turn those into 100 products anywhere in the world." It encapsulates the limitless potential technology offers to empower women globally. What quote resonated with you from the summit?

How can we use AI to protect the most vulnerable and “leave no one behind?”💡 🇺🇳 I’m at the UN today during UNGA week supporting Nomi Network and their transformative work to create economic opportunities for survivors and women at risk of human trafficking. 🤖 Their “Tech as an Accelerator” panel explored the evolving AI landscape, discussing opportunities, threats, and what the acceleration of AI means for vulnerable populations. The theme for this year’s UN General Debate is “Leave no one behind.” Today, 50 million people worldwide are trapped in modern-day slavery 🌍. An estimated $347 billion in illicit funds💰(a.k.a. profits for traffickers) are linked to this crime. The problem might seem overwhelming, but #AI and emerging technologies can be powerful tools in the fight to end human trafficking ⛓️💥 I interned with Nomi Network and the incredible Diana Mao Kelly over a decade ago and have been cheering them on ever since. It’s funny how life comes full circle, allowing me to support their mission again—first through my role at #AWS Social Impact and now with my #generativeAI expertise. There’s still so much work to be done, but it’s a privilege to stand with #NomiNetwork in this fight. The journey continues💪🦾 Curious about how you can help? Thank you doesn’t feel like enough for how you support the women and girls of Nomi Network. We recently wrapped up our North Texas Giving Day Campaign, sponsored by the Communities Foundation of Texas. Through your generosity, we raised $19,840 to support our Youth Workforce Empowerment Program in Dallas! Funding directly provides more educational opportunities to the girls we serve, empowers them to explore fulfilling careers, and gives back to their communities. With your continued support, we can continue to work where it’s most challenging until every woman and girl can reach her full potential.

Private sector partnerships, like this one being developed by Nomi Network Cambodia, are key to creating more employment opportunities for the women we serve. Companies are heavily vetted to ensure they are a safe place and pay living wages. Partners also provide insight into their respective industries so we can tailor the workforce training so women can reach their full potential.
