Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility. It is a day to celebrate the joy and resilience of Trans and NB and GNC folks and the contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces compared to cisgender (non-transgender) people.

Join the Fair Housing Center Wednesday, March 12th from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at 2728 Euclid Ave #200 Cleveland 44115 for their open house. The Fair Housing Center wants to bring in the community to see their important work in advocating for housing equity and combating housing discrimination.

Do believe Housing is a Human Right? Do want to create communities based on restoration rather than perpetual punitive punishment? Have you, or any of you family or friends been denied housing do to previous criminal legal involvement? If any of these are true, we invite you to help us explore the impact of background checks on housing applications, and the movement to break down the barriers to restoration for those of us with lived experience of incarceration. We are building a Campaign to give EVERYONE a fair chance at safe and stable housing for themselves and their loved ones. As a part of that effort we are hosting a community conversation on the topic Tuesday March 4th at 5:30 pm at Third Space Action Lab (1464 E 105th St, Cleveland, OH 44108).
