As part of our global month of service, Achieving Greater Together, Chairman and CEO Mike O’Grady joined a group of Northern Trust employees recently to volunteer with Nourishing Hope. Nourishing Hope is one of the largest and longest-operating hunger relief organizations in Chicago and provides the equivalent of more than 4.5 million meals each year throughout Chicago. Northern Trust is committed to supporting organizations that provide reliable access to nutritious meals to those facing food insecurity. To maximize the impact of our global month of service, we will once again donate 50 meals to global hunger relief organizations for every employee hour volunteered in October. #NTGivesBack

We are pleased to welcome Teresa Parker as the new President of Asset Servicing. Teresa’s 40+ year career with Northern Trust places her among the bank’s most experienced executives, as well as one of the financial services industry’s most influential and recognized woman leaders. Teresa’s extensive background spans Client Service, Operations, Technology and Capital Markets. Teresa succeeds Pete Cherecwich, who has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of Northern Trust. We are incredibly grateful to Pete for his excellent leadership of Asset Servicing since 2017 and look forward to all he will accomplish in his new role.

We were so proud to support last week’s Girls Who Code Hiring Season. Our team of HR, early career and Technology partners were part of this virtual event and joined thousands of technologists and future technologists online on the day. Participants were able to learn all about our early career opportunities, chat with our team and learn more about Northern Trust and life at Northern Trust. Last week our team in Luxembourg celebrated their 20th anniversary, an important chapter in their history. Olivier Noel, Country Head for Luxembourg, and CEO of Northern Trust’s Continental European Bank kicked off the celebratory events which included visits from our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mike O’Grady and Gilles Roth, Minister of Finance for Luxembourg. Since opening their office in 2004 to support one client they have since grown their client base substantially and increased their headcount significantly, which now stands at 400 partners strong. Northern Trust Luxembourg has also become the headquarters for our EU bank and plays a key role in our pan-European hub.
