We’re heading into the final days of our month of service, Achieving Greater Together, and our employees’ generosity and creativity knows no bounds! In Ireland, teams helped four-legged friends at Limerick Animal Welfare and cleaned up the garden for Enable Ireland, a group that helps adults and children with disabilities across Ireland. At a playground in Chicago, a team worked with Big Shoulders Fund to spread mulch to make a playground more kid-friendly – and even got an assist from some community members who were in line for the nearby food pantry! So much more is happening everyday around the globe – trees are being planted, houses are being built, lunches are being packed. We can’t wait to see what’s coming up in the final week of our month of service! #NTGivesBack  

The Northern Trust Philippines team recently hosted a National Family Week to celebrate the diversity of abilities and families. Our employee-led Working Families and Abilities Business Resource Councils hosted an impactful speaker series covering care for Persons with Disabilities, financial wellness, challenges faced by working mothers, mindful parenting, and animal welfare. More than 500 employees participated in the National Family Week events with one of the highlights been our spotlight session which saw a number of partners share their personal stories about caregiving which served as a powerful reminder of the importance of kindness and compassion as we never truly know what others may be going through. “Family – whether by blood, by choice, or by community we built at work - provides us with strength, purpose, inspiration, and balance. Following our recent Charity Trading Day Northern Trust will be donating US$1 million to four charities: Habitat for Humanity International, Rise Against Hunger, Ronald McDonald House Charities® and Urban Initiatives. Charity Trading Day is the cornerstone of how Northern Trust Asset Servicing supports Northern Trust’s social impact strategy and involves hundreds of Asset Servicing employees. We will also volunteer more than 100,000 hours to these and other charities throughout the coming year to further give back to the communities in which we live and work. 🌟 Dancing into Navratri: Celebrating Culture, Community, and Garba 🌟 Last week our team in London came together to celebrate the vibrant Hindu festival of Navratri, a nine-day celebration symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The team embraced this tradition by learning and performing Garba, a lively and symbolic dance that represents unity and the cycle of life. The Garba dance class, led by our very own Parth Shah, brought people from all backgrounds together to experience the joy and energy of this colourful festival. The event was thoughtfully organized by our employee-led Asian Leadership Business Resource Council (ALBRC), with Jaymini Ichharam taking the lead and Falguni Modha, Bsc, FCA and Krishan Tank sharing their experiences. From understanding the cultural significance of Navratri to dancing and sharing in the fun and festivities, the event fostered a sense of community and inclusion.
